Days of Significance
Social Media Graphics
Synopsis
Iris Communications, a leading independent strategic communications and public advocacy firm in Halifax, needed a steady social media presence marking important days of significance, while its team stayed focused on policy reports and election updates. With an endless list of possible dates, the challenge was picking the right ones and keeping every design aligned with Iris's existing branding, while still adding a creative twist.
Nahom worked closely with the Iris team to focus on days with broad, clear relevance, national holidays and business dates like Small Business Week, International Women's Day, and Black History Month, using Iris's branding as a consistent base.
The full year of content was planned and designed in advance, keeping Iris visible and consistent on social media while the team stayed focused on its core work.

With an endless list of possible days to mark, the challenge was picking the right ones and representing them in a way that felt inclusive and true to the organization. Every design also needed to stay aligned with Iris's existing branding, while still giving each post its own creative twist, all without straying into territory that felt culturally insensitive or overly political, since that risk alone could cost the firm its credibility as a trusted PR organization.
-
Nahom worked closely with the Iris team through regular meetings, ensuring every post reflected the firm's values and expertise. Days chosen were ones with broad, clear relevance: national holidays with office or school closures, and business relevant dates like Small Business Week, International Women's Day, Remembrance Day, and Black History Month. Each design used Iris's existing branding as its base, with small creative touches added for each occasion.
-
The designs kept Iris Communications visible and consistent on social media throughout the year, reinforcing its position as a leading PR firm in the Maritimes, while the team stayed focused on its core work. Because the full year of content was planned and designed in advance, the team didn't need to spend time or energy on design once the year began.
