Halifax Public Libraries held the African Heritage Month T-Shirt Design Contest to celebrate the 40th anniversary of African Heritage Month, highlighting the rich history of the African diaspora in Nova Scotia. Nahom was thrilled to win and contribute to this significant celebration. His design drew inspiration from traditional African patterns, which represent the intertwined stories of the Black community and their journey in Nova Scotia.
