Cultured Creative Studio is an artistic studio based in Toronto, dedicated to celebrating culture, identity, and storytelling. We offer illustrations, animations, branding, and graphic design that foster cross-cultural exchange, collaborating with individuals, creatives, and organizations that value cultural integrity and creative impact. The studio was founded by Nahom Assefa to close a gap he kept seeing: cultural organizations were being offered generic design that flattened their story to make it "marketable."

About Founder
Nahom Assefa is a multidisciplinary artist, creative writer, and curator whose practice explores cross-cultural storytelling, belongingness, and identity through visual and community-based work. Nahom challenges the “starving artist” stereotype by combining art with entrepreneurship.
Originally from Ethiopia and now based in Toronto, Nahom's work has gained recognition provincially, including as a previous Dalhousie Art Gallery Intern Curator, Ambassador for the 2025 Atlantic International Film Festival, a Nocturne Festival’s 2025 NOISEmaker, and recipient of the 2025 NSCC Immigrant and International Student Experience - Student IMPACT Award Winner.
