OUR WAY HERE

OUR WAY HERE: A SHARED JOURNEY was a two-day workshop by Cultured Creative Studio for newcomers and emerging artists in Halifax to explore identity and belonging through collaborative art.

Led by Nahom Assefa with co-facilitators Macarena Carreño, Leen Bakri, Claudia Manco Peña, and Annie Basu at Wonder'neath Art Society, participants shared their journeys of finding home. Day one explored articulating their experiences; day two focused on authentically sharing their creative voice. Each artist painted their story on canvas, then connected their work to others' with colored thread symbolizing shared emotions, culminating in a final exhibition.
