An Evening with Sophie Lukacs

We were honored to host Sophie Lukacs’s Halifax debut—an unforgettable night of music, storytelling, and cultural connection. A Hungarian-born, Malian-trained kora player and singer, Sophie is among the few women mastering this West African instrument. With two talented musicians, her trio blended Hungarian and Malian melodies, sharing heartfelt stories at Driftwood Coastal Dinner.
